  • Who is it for: Counselling is more suitable for individuals seeking support with immediate concerns or situational difficulties.


  • Cost: Counselling can be paid for directly or through your NDIS Plan (Improved Daily Living for Counselling).

  • Focus: Psychological therapy typically involves a deeper, more long-term process aimed at addressing complex mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and long-standing emotional difficulties.
     
  • Approach: Psychological therapy uses structured, evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and more. This often involves deeper exploration of thoughts, patterns, and past experiences.
     
  • Duration: Psychological therapy may be medium- to long-term depending on the nature of the concerns.
     
  • Who is it for: Psychological therapy is more suitable for those dealing with chronic psychological issues or those seeking deeper personal insight. 


  • Cost: Psychological therapy can be paid for directly or through your NDIS Plan (Improved Daily Living for Therapy by a Psychologist).
