BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT PRACTITIONER ROLE AVAILABLE

 Full-time or 0.8 FTE

Our purpose is to co-create meaningful change in people's lives. 

We are guided by our values with a focus on affirming rights, employing person-centred, collaborative, evidenced-informed and tailored approaches to improve wellbeing.


Desired credentials include:

  • Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at proficient level
  • Training in Positive Behaviour Support or equivalent substantial evidenced experience
  • Experience working with or supporting people with a disability across age ranges
  • Desired: qualifications in Positive Behaviour Support
  • Desired: registration as a healthcare professional/Clinician (e.g., AHPRA registration, AASW, Speech Pathology, etc.)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook) and experience using paperless systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong ability to follow legislative requirements, policy and procedures and meet contractual obligations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the Positive Shift team
  • A proactive attitude with passion for working with and for neurodivergents
  • A driver’s licence and own vehicle with insurance
  • NDIS Worker’s Screening Check and Blue Card
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and learning
